In this paper, the research work of torque model in plate rolling process, with biting impact considered, is carried out based on mechanical dynamics and process technology. The five-degree-of-freedom dynamic was established for main drive system actual heavy mill, considering clearance between parts. peak torques under different conditions were calculated. influence time steady-state analyzed: decreases increasing, increases increasing. calculation parameters. improved by rebuilding level arm ratio model. deformation area arithmetic average aspect reduction rate considered. built influence. accuracy verified comparing calculated data data. deviation within ± 8%, 10%. these models can be offline intelligent method online learning function, subsequently.
